Who is This Course

Aimed At?

This ladder inspection course is for personnel who need to carry out a thorough examination of ladders and stepladders as part of their legal duties, as well as managers and supervisors who need to assess whether their workforce is using equipment safely. Delivered by More Than Safety Training from our Chadderton, Oldham training centre or on-site at your premises, it covers fault identification, inspection records, and the record-keeping required to meet current legislation.

Aims & Objectives

Attendees should complete the service with an understanding of the current legislation relating to employer and employees responsibilities and the safe use and inspection of ladders and step ladders. Be able to compile and complete ladder inspection records, tags and registers to meet legal requirements.

Achievement

A 3 year MTST certificate of training in the Safe Use and Pre Use Checks of Ladders and Stepladders.

Delegate Experience & Renewals

A working knowledge of ladders and stepladders would be an advantage but is not essential. All delegates MUST be physically fit and able to carry out any practical handling of ladders and stepladders during the service.

PPE Required

Hard hat, gloves and safety footwear.
