Who is This Course
Aimed At?
This course is designed for individuals who have previously attended a confined spaces course or equivalent and require refresher training to renew their certification. This course can also act as an introduction to the subject of general safety in confined spaces.
Course
Aims & Objectives
- Updating the Delegate’s understanding of current legislation and Approved Codes of Practice (ACoP)
- Continuing to recognise confined spaces and their associated hazards
Reviewing the:
- Implementation of Control Measures to maintain the elimination or reduction of potential risks
- Organising and implementing appropriate accident and emergency procedures
- Safe use and maintenance of escape breathing apparatus
- Safe use and maintenance of access equipment such as Tripods and Winches

- Tripods, Harnesses and Winches
Achievement
A 3 year MTST certificate of refreshment demonstrating the Delegate’s awareness of the theories and practices associated with the hazards and risks of confined space entry and working.
Delegate Experience & Renewals
The delegate must have previously attended and passed our Medium Risk Confined Space Entry course. Preferably before the previous certificate is due to expire.
PPE Required
You will need a harness, chin strapped head protection, safety boots, gloves and overalls for the practical element.
