Aimed At?
This course is for those who have attended a more comprehensive first aid training course ( First Aid at Work or Requalification) in the previous 12 months.

Aims & Objectives
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
Act safely, promptly and effectively during emergencies at work
Use first aid equipment
Understand employer duties and legislation
Maintain first aid records
Recognise the importance of personal hygiene in first aid procedures
Course
Content
This course provides delegates with an opportunity to practise and update their skills through a combination of informal training and practical scenarios. The course will ensure delegates are confident to:
Assess the situation in an emergency
Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious and/or in seizure
Administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded or bleeding and/or in shock
Recent changes in practice or procedures
Other topics highlighted by delegates
Achievement
The Delegate will receive a MTST Certificate which is valid for 3 years.
Delegate Experience & Renewals
Must complete the refresher training prior to their expiry date on original First Aid at Work certificate
PPE Required
Delegates must be able to kneel on the floor for the practical element
