Aims & Objectives
The aim of this scaffolding training is to give the attendees theoretical knowledge for planning the installation of anchor ties and the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to undertake tie testing in accordance with National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) Technical Guidance No. 4 (2011).

- Work at Height Regulations 2005 – scaffolding stability
- NASC Publication TG4:19
- Tie frequency and loads
- Selection of anchors for base materials
- Role of manufacturers and suppliers of anchors
- Installation requirements (including training, instruction & supervision)
- Test reports & tie tags
- Demonstration of the installation of common anchor types
- Practical exercise – tie testing (preliminary and proof testing)
- 10-question multiple choice test paper
Achievement
A 3 year MTST certificate of training for the safe and proper managment of anchor testing of scaffolds
