Who is This Course
Aimed At?
Anyone who is required to inspect basic TUBE AND FITTING scaffold structures as part of their job role, as detailed in TG20:21, in accordance with the work at height regulations. It is also aimed at those wishing to obtain an in-depth knowledge of basic scaffold structures and the safe management of scaffolding operations.

Aims & Objectives
Attendees should complete the service having gained:
- An understanding of the current legislation
- An understanding of the current standards to be applied for basic scaffolds TG20:21 Compliant
- An understanding of employer and employee responsibilities relating to scaffolding
- Inspection procedures, reports and record-keeping requirements
- Avoiding risks and reducing injuries​

- Securing and tying of scaffolds
- Fall prevention SG4, arrest and rescue requirements
- Practical inspection of TG20:21 structure
Achievement
A 3 year MTST certificate of training to inspect Scaffold Structures as prescribed in NASC TG20:21
Delegate Experience & Renewals
A working knowledge of scaffolding would be an advantage but is not essential. All delegates MUST be physically fit and able to carry out any practical inspection.
Resit the 2 day course again to renew your certificate.
PPE Required
Protective footwear, suitable head protection, suitable clothing and gloves for the practical session.
